Killing František is the pseudonym of singer-songwriter Samuel Kovalčík, a Slovak alt-folk musician who blends elements of indie pop and Czech-Slovak folk in his music.

His second studio album titled II, awarded the Radio_head Awards 2024 in the Folk Music category, sees songwriter Killing František continue linearly from where his 2021 debut left off. Continuing with present bricolages of (pop) cultural references and a uniquely captivating vocal delivery, he opens up themes such as the crisis of masculinity, the return of war clouds over Europe, the mortality of the soul, while also articulating an unceasing hope for change. The songs are performed in arrangements for acoustic guitar and synthesizer.
