We invite children to the workshop In the Depths, where we will recycle materials that we come into contact with every day – plastic.

We will dive deep below the sea surface and look at the natural wonders hidden there. In addition to living creatures, we will find plants, stones, minerals, sand, but also waste.

In the workshop, we will work with waste materials – plastic, from which we will create our own images of the underwater world. We will work with fruit nets, plastic bottles, wrappers, aluminum foils, and many other items that have become an inseparable part of the seas and oceans, but do not belong there at all.

A significant amount of plastic waste ends up in seas and oceans, which has a devastating effect on marine fauna. Larger pieces of waste entangle animals, and smaller ones are mistaken for food.

The workshop encourages young participants to engage with ecological issues and minimize the use of single-use plastics.

In creating the workshop, we were inspired by the exhibition BASIC FACTS: Orange is red, heart is on the left at Čepan Gallery in Nádvorie.
