Workshop pre deti: Pohľad zdola hore, zhora dole

We invite children to the first gallery-art workshop that we have prepared for the current exhibition of Veronika Kurcinova, 128 cm.

The exhibition was inspired by her author book, Perspective from Below. Through illustrations, photographs, and quotes, with a great dose of perspective and humor, it captures how she sees the world from her angle and how her surroundings react to her handicap. She is exactly 128 cm tall.
A short guided tour will precede the workshop, during which the children will become familiar with the exhibition 128 cm, allowing them to better understand its theme and core idea. The important aspect will be the experience and direct contact with the artwork, which will serve as an impulse for further
joint activities.

The goal is to spark children's interest in the diversity and variety of our surroundings and the people who live in it through educational-artistic activity. “One of the motivations I had while creating it was to show healthy people how we, who have disabilities, live. At the same time, I wanted to show disabled individuals that they can take their position with perspective,” says the exhibition's author. In addition to the experience, children will take away knowledge and a “different” viewpoint of the world that can be viewed from multiple angles and perspectives. The workshop will teach them how to be at least a little more considerate of their surroundings and how to see reality through different eyes.

The workshop will take place at the Čepan Gallery.
The workshop is suitable for children aged 8 and above. Capacity: 10 children.
