Workshop: Brošňa ako amulet

We invite you to a creative workshop where you will create a personal original piece of jewelry – a textile brooch using hand sewing techniques, embroidery, beading, and sewing on appliqués. This workshop is intended for youth and adults, both experienced and inexperienced. Playfulness, curiosity, and a desire to explore new combinations are welcomed. In a pleasant relaxed atmosphere, we will develop intuition, spontaneity, and from pieces of fabric, threads, and beads, a unique talisman with your personal touch will come to life under your hands.

Mgr. art. Kristina Tománková (Kika Tomaňa) – textile artist

Kika Tomaňa was born on September 23, 1995, in Malacky. From 2011 to 2015, she studied at the Secondary School of Applied Arts Josef Vydra in Bratislava, specializing in Handicraft Textile Processing under Anna Bohatová, and from 2015 to 2022 at the Academy of Fine Arts, Bratislava, Department of Textile Creation, Textile Creation Studio with doc. Blanka Cepková. From 2017 to 2018, within the ERASMUS program, she studied at Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule in Halle an der Saale with Prof. Ulrich Reimkasten, and in 2018 she completed an internal internship at the Department of Graphics and Other Media in the Studio of Free and Color Graphics under doc. Vojtech Kolenčík. She lives in Sereď and is engaged in tattooing, painting, tapestry, and soft sculpture.
