In this presentation, we will explore the Yemeni island of Socotra, where aside from the main "city," there is no electricity, no hotels, or restaurants, but instead, pristine nature with a unique animal and plant biodiversity. Of the 825 plant species, 37% are found nowhere else in the world, similar to 90% of the local reptile species. Socotra is particularly famous for its unique Dragon's Blood trees, which have become its symbol and will catch your eye with their very unusual crown. You can also admire the beautifully blooming bottle tree, aromatic frankincense trees, and many other rare species. The islands are home to 192 bird species, 44 of which nest there. One of the most photogenic is the commonly occurring Egyptian vulture. The local human-free lagoons and beaches are more turquoise than the most exclusive ones in the Maldives, and on top of them rise unique giant white sand dunes. We will also enjoy the stunning scenery of the local mountains, covered with Dragon's Blood trees, under which we camped, and learn about life in local authentic settlements where time seems to have stopped about 200 years ago. Additional breathtaking scenery of enormous canyons, high sand dunes, and historical sites will also be showcased in photos from Oman. We will also enjoy swimming in the beautiful local waterfalls and mountain lakes with crystal-clear green water. Although some parts of Oman are already relatively well-discovered by tourists, Whisky focused primarily on more remote areas, exploring them in a 4x4 vehicle along rugged off-road paths or wading through the beds of seasonal rivers during floods, which are very atypical for this region. He managed to sneak his drone into both destinations, so there is indeed much to look forward to.

Whisky, the vocalist of the band Slobodná Európa, after many years of traveling to remote corners of five continents, decided to bring to light his numerous experiences and photographs from his expeditions. During his journeys, Whisky visited more than 100 countries, focusing on remote areas with attractive natural sceneries, preserved indigenous ethnic groups and cultures, without tourist crowds, which he often explored on a motorcycle or an off-road vehicle, covering hundreds of thousands of kilometers on roads and off-roads.
