A folk legend of the Czechoslovak music scene, a street singer, and a star of the singer-songwriter era during normalization. Vladimír Merta is a prominent personality who encouraged listeners to think about freedom through his music. Together with Karel Kryl and Jaroslav Hutka, he became a symbol of resistance against the communist regime.

In Trenčín, Vladimír Merta will be accompanied by musicians Julo Fujak and Martin Kukučka. The concert will be preceded by a discussion with the musicians.
