Valentin nap by Barry Creyton is a masterful crime farce, written by the well-known actor, director, and playwright. The story features Lewis, a well-known writer; his friend Nick; his lawyer Arnold; and a large painting of the beautiful and wealthy Amelia above the fireplace. Gloria, a young police officer, Fran, who chases after Nick, and Mitzi from the neighboring apartment also play roles. Lewis and Nick mourn for Amelia, who has divorced them both, but they grieve so much that they realize the only way to free themselves of her is to lure her to their apartment under some pretext, hire a hitman, and have her killed so they can finally have peace. And there is the mute hitman, lurking in the bathroom, waiting for Amelia. However, since this is a cleverly devised farce, in the end, Fran, Gloria, Mitzi, and Arnold, the lawyer, all appear dressed as Amelia. But how will the two friends manage to stop the mute hitman, who might also be deaf? And who will it be that the hapless killer pushes off the thirteenth floor of the elegant New York apartment building?

Barry Creyton's intricately woven crime farce, which rivals Feydeau's farces, will be enjoyed just as much by the actors as by the audience. This is confirmed by the successes of the performances in London, New York, and Australia.
