Strašidlá na Smolenickom zámku 2025

The civic association Karpatoš is once again coming to you with a favorite theatrical and spooky event – Ghosts at Smolenice Castle, which will take place on October 25-26, 2025.

The ninth edition of the event will revive a piece of Slovak history and present a story inspired by Slovak legends. A captivating performance will guide you through the event by a librarian and his charming assistant Aneta. Together with them, you will visit the Trnava alchemist, encounter the fearsome executioner from Michael’s Gate, and yes… you guessed it right – the bloody Countess Bathory will not be missing.

A rich accompanying program is prepared for visitors:

- performances by the historical fencing group URSUS,

- spooky photo corner,

- ghosts that will scare both big and small,

- craft fair,

- face painting,

- fun games and other activities,

And there will also be a Scary Story Room, which will open its doors in the castle bastion's underground and welcome all lovers of spooky and fairy tale stories, read by exceptional Slovak authors.

By purchasing a ticket, you will get free entry to the courtyard of Smolenice Castle on the day of the event, access to the accompanying program, and admission to the hour-long theatrical performance Ghosts at Smolenice Castle, which will take place in the interior of Smolenice Castle.

For motorists, designated parking lots marked with information signs will be prepared in the village. From the stops and parking area, you can take the Ghost Bus to Smolenice Castle. (A list of stops will be published on the FB event and on the website).

Free entry for children up to 2.99 years and for companions of the disabled (no tickets required).
