How do good people become evil? Is humanity a task for a person? Can any of us commit any act, even the most horrifying, if we find ourselves in a bad situation? Will we exploit our situation if we have the opportunity?
The theatrical production Pop Animal explores the boundaries between human and animal. One of its premises is the Stanford prison experiment, which triggered numerous controversial reactions and whose results have been repeatedly questioned and challenged. To what extent does the mentioned experiment name the banality of evil and where does it reveal the banality of heroism?
As part of the musical concept of the production, covers of popular songs from a list of music used for torturing prisoners in Guantanamo have been created.
