Silvia Havelková: O škriatkovi Mobiliakovi

Did you know that there is a little goblin that comes with every mobile phone? It can vary - small, big, short, tall, fat, thin, leggy, or handsy... But one thing remains the same - its job is to make you lose track of time with your mobile in hand.

The modern cheerful production playfully shows children that the mobile is a good servant, but a bad master. The angry goblin Mobiliak, hiding in the mobile phone, tries to capture the child's attention at all costs, isolating them from parents and friends. His goal is to completely dominate the main heroine and to pull her out of the ordinary child's world.

The story clearly illustrates that we must not forget about our loved ones and let ourselves be deceived by something/someone that promises us mountains, but in reality wants to manipulate us.

Despite the heavy theme, the production is entertaining and interwoven with original songs.

• although mobile phones can be great learning tools, schools increasingly perceive their negative impact, especially in terms of children's inability to concentrate;
• children have inappropriate content at their fingertips due to mobiles, which negatively affects their mental health;
• children are more exposed to cyberbullying, often socially isolating themselves, suffering from anxiety and depression, which can have fatal consequences;
• if time spent on games and videos is not controlled and the child begins to neglect their real life at the expense of the virtual one, this can signify a pathological addiction.

Despite the fact that technologies pose many dangers, they are still important for society and can have a positive impact on a child's development. It's essential to keep their usage under control. The social environment and a variety of activities, ideally engaging meaningfully with parents, play a very significant role in proper child development. One positive example of how to spend time with a child is to take them to the theater, for instance, to the performance about the goblin Mobiliak.
