KKC Hviezda
We will say goodbye to the autumn season in an exceptional lineup – singer, songwriter, and producer Nina Kohout will join us along with writer Daniel Hevier. In a friendly and informal atmosphere, we will get to know their personal stories and experiences, engage in discussions, and seek common, perhaps even unexpected, #intersections. The evening will include a musical performance by Nina Kohout. We look forward to seeing you!
Intersections is an entertaining talk show that creates space for mutual acquaintance and closeness. The invited guests are exceptional people from the fields of culture, science, education, business, sports, and other spheres of our lives.
Nina Kohout is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Trenčín, who now lives and creates in Brighton. She is one of the most prominent figures in the Slovak music scene – as a graduate of the prestigious London BRIT School, she won the Radio_Head Awards Discovery of the Year in 2020. Her music combines Slovak folklore, classical, and electronic elements. After the successful EP Pandemonium, she released her debut album Gentle Autopsy in 2024, which received a strong domestic and international response.
Daniel Hevier is a poet, prose writer, playwright, lyricist, artist, and pioneer of creative writing in Slovakia. He grew up in a teaching family and began working at the Slovak Radio during his studies. In the 1980s, he engaged in freelancing as a writer, and later served as editor-in-chief of the publishing house Mladé letá. In 1992, he founded the publishing house Hevi, which published over a hundred books, and co-founded the children's publishing house Buvik.
Ivan Ježík is a co-author and host of Intersections and the podcast Conversations Choices. With the Voices team, he returned to his hometown of Trenčín, where he has been preparing various cultural and educational activities for several years. He cares about making this a good place to live and ensuring that young people want to return here.
