Prieniky s Dagmar Môťovskou a Jurajom Matejkom

On the fourteenth of Prieniky, we will welcome the beloved teacher, lecturer, and expert guarantor of the Hejný method, Dagmar Môťovská, and an icon of Slovak floorball – the founder of the Floorball Club AS Trenčín, Juraj Matejka. In a friendly and informal setting, we will learn about their personal stories and experiences, discuss, and seek common #intersections. We look forward to seeing you!

The event will traditionally be accompanied by the music of Erich Vladár, who this time will invite the musical guest Juraj Holoda.

Prieniky is a fun talk show that creates a space for mutual acquaintance and bonding. The invited guests are exceptional people from the fields of culture, science, education, business, sports, and other areas of our lives.

Dagmar Môťovská is a beloved teacher of mathematics and computer science, a finalist for the Teacher Personality of Slovakia award. As the first Slovak to receive a lecturer certificate for teaching the Hejný method, she is also the expert guarantor of the Hejný method in Slovakia. She also works as a lecturer in courses focused on team collaboration, communication, and motivation. She enthusiastically works with children from orphanages and at-risk youth, while also supporting caregivers and volunteers. She founded the non-profit organization Púpava, which has been dedicated to experiential education for over two decades. She has three children who make up a large part of her life and are her greatest teachers.

Juraj Matejka is an icon of Slovak floorball, a long-time captain of the national team and a playing coach of the AS Trenčín team. In Trenčín, he has been involved in creating the floorball community from the very beginning. He is the founder of the Floorball Club AS Trenčín (originally M-Šport) and the organizer of the Salming Floorball Camp. With over 820 points in the league, he is one of the most productive players in Slovakia. He believes that sports shape character and unite the community.

Juraj Holoda is a Slovak multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer who has been involved in music since elementary music school in Trenčín. He studied jazz guitar at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague (2006–2012) and later deepened his knowledge at the Escola de Choro Raphael Rabello in Brasília, Brazil. He has collaborated with international artists including Tommy Emmanuel and Moya Angela (USA), and in the Slovak music scene, he has worked with well-known names such as Peter Cmorík, Marcel Palonder, and Martin Valihora. He currently works as a musician, bandleader, and manager in the Czech-Slovak multi-genre group Colorful People.

Ivan Ježík is the co-author and host of Prieniky and the podcast Conversations Choices. He returned to his native Trenčín with the Voices team, where he has been preparing various cultural and educational activities for several years. He cares about making this a good place to live and wants young people to want to return here.
