Listen to the story is the second year of a multi-genre festival aimed at connecting people and bringing a bit of unusual art to Upper Orava.

The primary aim of the festival is to highlight the stories of people connected to the flooded villages due to the construction of the Orava Dam. We want to point out that one event brings various subjective experiences (from new job positions to loss of home) while also uniting us in some way. We interpreted this as a metaphor for life, where although we all live lives with different experiences and stories, what connects us as human beings is life itself (with all its sorrows and joys), which is nice to share with each other. This is also a message we would like to bring with this year's festival.

Through the festival, we want to offer the people of this region, who enjoy art, concerts of bands that are culturally and sometimes ideologically diverse. At the same time, they are open to the idea of mutual listening and "storytelling," because we believe that art can connect and bring together even people who would not normally talk to each other.

The festival will take place on August 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, in the village of Štefanov nad Oravou, in Humne St. Joseph, in a “picturesque” setting by the Orava River.

The festival will feature singer-songwriters and bands such as Dis is Markéta, Martin Geišberg, Mojše band, Zabiť Františka, Folk&Bass Orchestra, and Women from Muzička, Dávid&Leona Lipovskí, and others.

It will include quality music, poetry, visual experiences, discussions, and a few interactive elements...

€10 discounted admission for children (11+ years), seniors (65+ years), students (up to 25 years, valid ISIC card)

Persons with disabilities, children under 10 years free
