Listen to the story is the first year of a multi-genre festival that aims to connect people and bring a bit of unusual art to the upper Orava. It is an intimate festival where we want to highlight the Orava legends, which have been passed down through oral tradition and storytelling in the past. In the last century, Mr. Anton Habovštiak collected, recorded, and published them as a book titled Oravské povesti (1978).

These legends inspired the leader of the folk group Skalka, and in 1997, he set a few of them to music. At our festival, in addition to the folk group Skalka, performers such as Martin Geišberg, Robo Hulej, havrilla, BDHS and others will present.

The festival will feature quality music, poetry, visual experiences, and a few interactive elements... The program will also include a discussion with the daughter of Mr. A. Habovštiak, reading of the legends, unveiling a map of places associated with the legends, and a brochure with a selection of Orava legends.
