Pavol Seriš: Pozemšťan

A crazy story about an alien who longs to become an Earthling. He wanders the planet Earth, carefully observing us to learn how to be like us. However, it's not easy. We are, after all, stranger than he thought. Will he manage to understand our behavior and fit into society?  

In his latest authorial production, Pavol Seriš satirically looks at the chaotic world that today's human accepts as normal. "Earthling" is a theatrical report on the people of the 21st century who look everywhere around them but not in the mirror. A physical stand-up and comedic pantomime about how we behave and who we are. The production was created in cooperation with Bolek Polívka Theatre.

Pavol Seriš is a graduate of the Studio of Physical Theatre at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, where he completed his doctoral studies in December 2017. In his work, he focuses mainly on one-man authorial theater; currently, he has seven monodramas in his repertoire: Did You Enjoy It, Gentlemen?, From the Zoo, Author, At the Cash Register, Samko Tále, Earthling, and DADA Revue. He has received many awards for his authorial productions: most recently the Award for Best Acting Performance at the FITUA 2015 festival in Agadir, Morocco, the Grand Prize at the European Young Theatre 2015 in Spoleto, Italy, and the Audience's Grand Prize at the Monomaffia 2016 festival in Pärnu, Estonia.
