Pavol Seriš – DADA Revue

DADA Revue is a playful comedic collage by author and performer Paľo Seriš. 

This dynamic and spontaneous one-man show specialist combines theater, stand-up, pantomime, and dance. He finds inspiration in everyday life situations, serving them with ease and a wild tempo. With dadaist playfulness, he transforms everything into a creative cocktail of sketches and improvisation, which typically ends with cathartic laughter. DADA Revue is a celebration of the joy of life, of play, and of the performer’s encounter with the audience.

Pavol Seriš is a graduate of the Physical Theater Studio at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, where he also completed his doctoral studies in December 2017. In his work, he primarily focuses on one-man original theater. Currently, he has seven monodramas in his repertoire: Did You Enjoy It, Gentlemen?, From the Zoo, Author, At the Cash Desk, Samko Tále, Earthling, and DADA Revue. For his original productions, he has received numerous awards: most recently the Best Acting Performance Award for the production Czech People and Čoboláci at the 33rd edition of the Kopřiva festival of unconventional theaters in 2019, the Best Actor Award at the FITUA 2015 festival in Agadir, Morocco, the Grand Prize at the European Young Theatre 2015 festival in Spoleto, Italy, and the Audience Award at the Monomaffia 2016 festival in Pärnu, Estonia.
