Pavol Seriš: Autor

After two character comedies (Did You Enjoy It, Gentlemen? and From the Zoo), this play is about the fate of a single person: The Author. The Author represents a working being who must create an original entertainment program, or else they will lose everything. A one-man show where the actor is more concerned about themselves than the character. A personal testimony about the pitfalls of creation under the directorial supervision of Czech theater and film director Břetislav Rychlík.

Pavol Seriš is a graduate of the Physical Theatre Studio at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, where he completed his doctoral studies in December 2017. In his work, he focuses primarily on one-person original theater; currently, he has seven monodramas in his repertoire: Did You Enjoy It, Gentlemen?, From the Zoo, The Author, At the Box Office, Samko Tále, The Earthling, and DADA Revue. For his original productions, he has received numerous awards: most recently the Award for Best Acting Performance at the FITUA 2015 festival in Agadir, Morocco, the Grand Prize at the European Young Theatre 2015 in Spoleto, Italy, and the Audience Grand Prize at the Monomaffia 2016 festival in Pärnu, Estonia.
