The French doctor, Serge, buys a modern painting, and his friends are unable to tolerate it.

Is Serge at fault, or are the friends who think he bought a "nothing" worth a fortune just out of snobbery?!

Or is it the painter who creates such bluffs?

Or could it truly be a masterpiece that we, being insensitive, cannot understand?

Or maybe no one is to blame.....
