The City Theater in Trenčín, in staging The Miser, returns to Molière’s times when professional traveling theater companies moved throughout Europe entertaining people wherever they went. Molière himself traveled with such a company across France and did not spare anyone in his satires of contemporary society. Experience theater with us as in Molière’s times! The main life motto of the miser Harpagon is clear: money and property above all! However, when Harpagon discovers that one of his chests is missing, real chaos ensues, comic situations arise, human characters are revealed, and the struggle for money or love reaches a climax...
