Everyone has their good friend. They show up once in a while and turn your life completely upside down. But there’s nothing you can do about it; after all, they are your "good friend." Bernard doesn't even pretend that what he's about to ask Phillip is a trivial matter. On the contrary, if it doesn’t work out, it could ruin a happy relationship not only for Bernard but especially for Phillip. Such a thing a person wouldn't do for just anyone. Only if a truly good friend, who is a bit of a womanizer and above all a pathological liar, asks you for it, but male friendship can rise above such trifles. The great French comedy by Eric Assous brings together two married couples in a whirlwind of misunderstandings, half-truths, and situations that, if they don’t concern you, are truly comedic. Otherwise, you would be dying of horror.
