A historical comedic drama that debates love and ownership, freedom and power, and the effort to control the lives of others—topics that are highly relevant today. The fictional story set during the Renaissance features famous and significant figures from history and art against the backdrop of a romantic relationship between a young playwright and the English queen. In the play, the strict world of politics comes into conflict with free art. The adaptation, enriched with authentic Shakespearean texts, promises intriguing moments and surprising "Gavran-like" resolutions to situations. The Municipal Theatre of Trenčín participated in the international festival Gavranfest in Prague in 2019 with this production.
