Milonga per tre | b minor

The first concert of this year's b minor cycle will be carried out in the rhythms of tango nueva, featuring the works of Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla.

The audience in Trnava will experience a unique concert titled Milonge per tre, which will present a five-member musical ensemble consisting of: Ondrej Veselý (guitar), Martin Krajčo (guitar), Peter Biely (violin), Boris Lenko (accordion), and Jozef Lupták (cello).

Milonge per tre

In 2021, the Konvergencie Festival dedicated its spring section to the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla, who significantly influenced the world of classical music and enriched concert programs with a new style - tango nuevo. His works will be performed at the concert in arrangements by the world-famous Brazilian guitarist Sérgio Assad. The program will also include a part from the Tango Suite, which Piazzolla originally composed for Sérgio and Odair Assad. An interesting fact is that this outstanding guitar duo, which Piazzolla admired, launched its international career in Bratislava – winning the Young Performers’ Showcase BHS in 1979.
