I AM PLACEBO is a dance performance by Michal Heriban that explores the memory of the body, subconscious habits, and the mechanisms that shape our behavior. It is an award-winning solo that received the prestigious DOSKY theater award last year in the category of Extraordinary Achievement in Dance Theatre.

“95% of what constitutes my identity is a series of programs stored in my subconscious that have become automated. But my waking thoughts are not in a vacuum; with each one, a biochemical reaction occurs in my brain. I program myself; I can create new neural connections, I can transform my body and mind. I am placebo.”
