Kremnické gagy Festival - complete program - tickets

The European Festival of Humor and Satire Kremnické gagy is an original international cultural event with a long-standing tradition. It has been established and held since 1981 in the beautiful historical town of Kremnica, located at the geographical center of Europe. During the last weekend of August, it seeks out and subsequently presents inspiring works and performances by artists from around the world. The goal of the festival is to monitor domestic and foreign creations, resulting in a multi-genre showcase of artistic programs with a focus on humor, satire, and cultivated entertainment. The festival awards the best art of that year with the distinguished Golden Gunár prize through the Academy of Humor. It also highlights current societal issues and awards the anti-prize Trafená hus for something that leaves even humorists speechless. The festival also features the popular exhibition of the Museum of Kitschy Art and the unique Alley of Famous Noses, where reliefs of personalities with a sense of humor, who are no longer with us, are placed.
