A loose adaptation of the novel The Well of Love by Jožo Nižnánsky.

It seems that there will never be water at Trenčín Castle; however, this is exactly the opportunity for the Turkish merchant Omar, whose beloved Fatima is imprisoned by Count Štefan Zápoľský in the castle. He promises to dig a well at the castle if he releases Fatima. But this is not the only love story unfolding at the castle. Add a hefty dose of humor, sword-fighting duels, beautiful costumes, amazing music, and great acting and singing performances. Experience a story full of tension, a desire for power, but also humor and, above all, love. The musical The Well of Love is a loose adaptation of the novel by Jožo Nižnánsky.

The original musical The Well of Love, based on the most beautiful Slovak legend, tells the story of the love between the Turkish merchant Omar and his beloved Fatima, who was imprisoned by Count Zápoľský at Trenčín Castle. The play also offers viewers an attractive dimension of male-female relationships, centered around the relationship of the Zápoľský couple and the romantic entanglements of the castle captain Tomáš Zamarovský. All set against the backdrop of the historical realities of electing a new king of Hungary, who needs to be married off to the widow of King Matthias, Beatrix of Aragon. Humor will come from the castle jester, the guards, the monks from Skalka, and King Vladislav himself. Tension is promised by sword-fighting duels and a plot that will not leave you indifferent.
