Lordi - Nitrianske Sučany

The play LORDI is based on the correspondence of the famous Oscar Wilde. In this salon comedy, which mocks male vanity but also celebrates strong friendship, an absurd plot is unfolded by three lords portrayed by: Maroš Kramár, Jozef Vajda, and Peter Šimun, directed by: Peter Serge Butka.

However, there will be no reading of any "liebesbriefs" or business letters from any prominent corporations. A much greater surprise is prepared, which is not suitable for individuals under the age of fifteen and for puritanical ladies. The title is "mildly spicy" and therefore appropriate for an adult audience seeking to have a good time.

The production LORDI is a work that arose from discovered correspondence in the attic of one of the Parisian apartments. It was discovered by writer Pascal Renia, who was extremely intrigued by it and sought to extract its potential for a dramatic work.

Specifically, it is a play that was, so to speak, partially written by Oscar Wilde and his friend Robbie Ross. The inspiration for writing a political farce about the English aristocracy, which seemingly had the recipe for morality and traditionalism, came from Wilde's condemnation by a London court for sodomy and his two-year imprisonment.

The correspondence included elaborate schematics and details of the play, which, however, did not see the light of day during the lives of its creators. This time, however, it reaches the audience in its Slovak premiere, produced by the Atelier of Maroš Kramár and aims to somewhat reveal the bitter secret hidden in the letters that essentially formed the production.
