Hrdza - Concert for Mother's Day

Hrdza will perform not only well-known hits such as "Taká sa mi páči," "Slovensko moje, otčina moja," and "Mám ja orech," but also other songs from its 25 years of creation, which are not often played, such as "Jedno leto," "Rozmarín," "Na horách býva," and "Čo mi je, to mi je." The band will perform in an expanded lineup with top vocalists Susanna Jara and Lucia Gibarti, violin virtuosos Dominik Maniak and Ľubo Šamo, as well as cimbalom maestro Mykhaylo Zakhariya.

HRDZA - The peak of the world music genre in Slovakia

Music played with joy and from the heart. The Prešov band HRDZA (SK) has been active in the world music scene since 1999. Strong voices, top musicians, and skillfully processed songs mix the old with the new to create a pleasant sound. HRDZA is known for its original songs that draw from Slovak folk traditions (like "Taká sa mi páči") as well as arrangements of folk songs ("Slovensko moje, otčina moja," "Štefan," "Mám ja orech," and "Horela ľipka"). This year marks the 25th anniversary of their successful presence both at home and abroad. During this time, they have released six studio albums, three of which ranked in the top ten of the prestigious international chart World Music Charts Europe (WMCE). These are the highest positions ever achieved by a Slovak band since the chart has been operating since 1991. The band is also known from television competitions EuroVision Song Contest 2010 and Československo má talent 2016. The video "Hrdza - Štefan," featuring an arrangement of a Rusyn folk song, is likely the most viewed Slovak music video abroad.
