How will artificial intelligence influence our future? Answers can be found at the June Book Galaxy, where we will welcome the creators of the fascinating book Artificial Intelligence: Prepare for the Future – Maroš Žofčin and Ján Trangel.
Maroš Žofčin is the host of the SHARE podcast, an editor at the magazine Živé.sk, and a co-author of the book Artificial Intelligence: Prepare for the Future. He has been covering topics in science and technology for over 10 years.
Ján Trangel is an editor at the technology portal Živé.sk, where he has been working since 2005. He focuses on topics in hardware, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. He is currently also involved in implementing artificial intelligence services in practice at Ringier Slovakia Media. He prepares training on various aspects of deployment.
Artificial intelligence is a phenomenon that fundamentally changes almost every area of our lives: from medicine, science, education, and art to business and the job market, as well as (cyber) crime and crime investigation. However, its current development also has its limits. Training and operating artificial intelligence models are computationally and financially extremely demanding. It consumes so much energy that companies specializing in this field are considering building their own nuclear reactors. At the same time, there are still tasks that today's AI cannot handle.
Navigating this landscape is not easy, which is why the book Artificial Intelligence: Prepare for the Future was created. This over 270-page publication provides a unique perspective on the phenomenon of AI for several reasons. It is the first book of Slovak origin that brings together top Slovak experts and representatives from the business sector to offer their own views on life in the era of AI. Sixteen authorities from science, legal or medical practice, or business discuss the latest trends, possible scenarios for the future, and the risks of artificial intelligence, viewing both sides of the proverbial coin.
Through a series of thematic interviews conducted by the respected technology portal Živé.sk editors Filip Hanker, Ján Trangel, and Maroš Žofčin, you will gain insights into the revolutionary phenomenon. Through the lens of experts on the subject, you will glimpse a future intertwined with artificial intelligence and robots.
