Continuation of the HoryZonty film festival screenings. Inspiring stories and the best biker experiences from the festival archive. The program will include a discussion with Adam Babjak, an outdoor enthusiast and one of the members of the Trenčín cycling community. We will add two biking films to the discussion: 

Films: 

2020 Miles 

Directed by: Aleš Nenička / CZ / 2024 / 51 minutes / 

A documentary film about the 1000 Miles Adventure race, which covers a route of 2020 miles. In kilometers, this is 3620 km with an elevation gain of 75,000 meters. The racers in the film tackle the Czech and Slovak high mountains on bikes, nonstop and without support. Competitors ride more than 200 kilometers a day with an elevation gain of five thousand meters and sleep on average only 3-4 hours a day. The film follows selected elite competitors, their struggles, euphoria, joy, and pain, as well as what their loved ones say about it all. The documentary poetically captures the beautiful nature and landscape through which the race leads. The film had its Slovak premiere at the festival in 2020.

Cross Countries  / Across Countries 

Directed by: Kilian Bron / AND / 2023 / 7 minutes / 

Kilian Bron embarks on a tour of the most beautiful North American bike trails - from the roots of mountain biking in the USA to the dense Canadian forests and rocky plates of British Columbia. We will see him riding on steep chutes in Sedona, Squamish Jurassic Five, in downtown New York, jumping over a railway track in Pemberton, on slippery rocks in Moab, or along the ridge of Honolulu.

Adam Babjak 

Adam is a long-time athlete who couldn't live without movement. Since he was a child, he has been biking around Frýdek-Místek, later he started climbing, running long distances in the mountains, and skiing in winter. Despite all these activities, his passion for bikes of every kind has never left him, and he regularly pulls out some of them from his collection to let them breathe. Since he began focusing on DIVOtrails in Brezina, he has happily returned to his youth and enjoys riding trails and jumping on jumps. In addition, he is one of the key figures in organizing children's cycling races, including the children's Tour de HoryZonty. He will come to our club's festival special to talk to us not only about trails and trail riding.
