A well-known fairy tale in an unknown adaptation. It’s as if a storybook is opening or a slide film is appearing on the dark wall, yet it is something entirely different. It feels French and yet Hungarian. Exactly those stories that dwell deep in the hearts of children and their parents. The story of Thumbelina fits very well into the children’s world: beautiful images alternate, and inner child fears and family problems are resolved through play, humor, courage, and love, preserving the special linguistic flavor of the Palóc region, all dissolved in a true world fairy tale.
