Kremnické gagy Festival - complete program - tickets

The European Festival of Humor and Satire Kremnické gagy is an original international cultural event with a long-standing tradition. It has been established and realized since 1981 in the beautiful historic town of Kremnica, in the geographical center of Europe. During the last weekend of August, it seeks and subsequently presents inspiring works or performances by artists from around the world. The goal of the festival is to monitor domestic and foreign creations, resulting in a multi-genre showcase of the artistic program with an emphasis on humor, satire, and cultivated entertainment. The best art of the respective festival year is awarded by the Academy of Humor with the prestigious Golden Gunár award. It also highlights current events in society and awards the anti-award Trafená hus for something that even humorists can’t understand. The festival also features the popular exposition of the Museum of Kitsch and the unique Alley of Famous Noses, which houses reliefs of personalities with a sense of humor who are no longer with us.
