Čin-čin

The fairy tales of "Aunt" Ľudmila Pojavorinská are among the most beloved works for children. The dramatization of the fairy tale Čin-čin takes the audience into a bird's world that closely resembles the human one. It features humor, poetry, songs, but also brings valuable life lessons for children.

The carefree sparrow Čimo and his dear Čin-čin are together searching for their place in the world and dreaming of a happy home. On their journey towards their dream, they meet various characters – a moody bumblebee, a kind-hearted firefly, a spooky owl, a vain crow, and many others, who try to help them but sometimes also cause harm. Gradually, they realize that the biggest obstacle is their own laziness and comfort. Thus, the self-willed chicks gradually become responsible sparrows. The story reveals the value of love, friendship, hard work, and home.

The play is full of rhythmic language, songs, and objects that come to life right on stage. The production appeals not only to children but also to adult audiences, who will find a piece of nostalgia and a timeless message within it.
