What is it like to have a dog? What does it bring? To people, to dogs? Can we take care of each other? This will be told to us in person – by the dog Kamil.

Kamil is a puppet, but he is not a fairy tale creature. Nor is he a puppet "stuffed animal." Kamil is a living being. This is how the creators perceive him and how they play with him. Kamil's soul was conceived by the renowned Polish children's author Marta Guśniowska. Kamil's appearance was designed by the popular Prague street art and comic artist Toybox. Marta Guśniowska is one of the most performed authors in Polish children's theaters, uniquely and sensitively bringing the world of animals and humans to life with her clever writing. In today's world, almost every household has a dog. What is it like to have a dog? What does it bring? To people, to dogs? Who learns from whom? Can we take care of each other? What does this mean for the dog and for his owner? This will be told to us in person – by the dog Kamil.

Suitable for children aged 4 and above. We ask parents to respect the recommended age limit.

Puppet Theater at the Crossroads

The term "Crossroads" defines the theatrical expressive means the theater chooses, including all other forms of syncretic and alternative theater, seeking a contemporary theatrical language in its artistic and authorial creation. Its repertoire is for children of all age categories, including toddlers. In the area of creation for adults, it transcends boundaries and prejudices regarding the age relevance of puppet theater with its quality repertoire featuring engaging themes and various socially driven paradocumentary projects. It is the main organizer of the international festival of contemporary puppet theater for children and adults in Banská Bystrica and its surroundings, Bábkarská Bystrica.
