Ahoj, som Bábkač!

An experiential expedition into the non-theatrical spaces of the theater building.

Dear audience, we would like to inform you that from September 2024 we will be performing again at our theater on Dunajská Street 36. We look forward to your visit!

The theater is like a magical box, where wheels turn, cylinders move, levers rotate, and everything fits together. Behind the doors of the administration, in the director's office, in the workshop, in the elevator, in the lighting booth, there is someone everywhere who co-creates the theater's magic. Come with us to seek magic in ordinary things, in people, in space.

Embark on an adventurous expedition into the depths of Bábkač and explore all its nooks and crannies – from the entrance hall to the attic. Something is happening everywhere, something moves unexpectedly, somewhere someone disappears and suddenly appears out of nowhere. Inanimate objects live their own lives. Cracks, niches, and corners are inhabited by lively little creatures. And everything is connected by simplicity, charm, and humor. Step into the world where puppet theater is born. Hello, I'm Bábkač! And you?
